March 2nd class with Donna

Hi gals!  Personally, I'm shocked that I have one class ready for March!  Maybe my Mojo will stick with me and I can complete the remaining classes I have planned for March.  You might want to pencil in those dates.  They are 3/2, 3/17 and 3/23.

I was playing with my dies today (oh surprise! - NOT!) and I decided to use a die from Papertrey Ink in two different cards.  Then my mind wandered in a direction it hasn't been in for a loooong time -- teabag folding!  Yep!  An inspiration hit when my eye fell upon a certain Spellbinder die.

So here's what's coming up for Friday, March 2nd from 7-9.  This class is $20.00.

The other thing I did was come straight out of the box with the color scheme on the left hand card.  I love how the gold and gray go together.

Butterflies & Scrollwork with Donna

Hello everyone!  My apologies in the delay in getting my projects up.  Those of you "in the know" are aware of my other crazy life with Craft-Dee BowZ (formerly E-Z BowZ).  You can go to my new blog www.craft-deebowz.blogspot.com to see what's going on.

On another note, I have a really great class put together for you for Saturday, February 25th from 1-3 pm and the class price is $20.  We'll be using those fabulous Memory Box dies yet again.  You've all been purchasing them, so why not put them to work?  In this class, I'm going to do a different "twist" on the "Donna Tape" (you remember the 2-1/2" wide tape?) that we used to use at Scrapbook Cupboard.  This is a technique that Dave Brethauer used, but not with the "Donna Tape".  You're going to love this technique as it's another twist on using peel-offs.  I promise, we'll do another peel-offs class really soon as some of you have asked for a refresher course on it.

So, without further delay, here's your project for 2/25.  You'll also be making the "easiest" rolled flowers ever.

Quatrefoil with Donna

Quatrefoil?  What on earth is that?  It's a full A2 size die that you will have so much fun with.  I will give you the details on where to purchase this die -- and don't shoot the messenger because this website will blow your mind (details to follow at the bottom of this post)!

What I've done is show you three very different ways to use this fantastic die.  This class is scheduled for Saturday, February 11th from 1 to 3 pm and is $22.00.  Just click on the PayPal Button below to get yourself signed up.

The card on the right shows the full die cut, the center shows the die cut out, and the card on the right shows the die embossed (now how is that possible?).

So, on to the website:  www.papertreyink.com.  This is the most incredible site that coordinates stamps with dies and CS with ribbons, buttons, inks etc.   A one-stop shopping for sure.  Look for more use of this company in my classes.  Some of you have already experienced their products in a few of my classes already and have fallen in love.  Case in point, the Coffee/Tea Bag/Box.  The girls absolutely LOVED it!

Snowy Stampscapes - 2/12/12

There may not be any snow on the ground but we are going to create a gorgeous snow retreat card from stamps!  With hues of blue, purple and greens, this card will show off not only some sponge work but also white pen and pigment ink shadowing!!

I'm in Love! with Steampunk - with Kim - $30

Kim's bringing you a Valentine special!  This gorgeous piece of art is a little grungy, a little eclectic, a little collage-y and a lot colorful.  With some clocks, gears, keys, sequins, rivets and more we'll use some  watercoloring to create a home decor piece you'll be happy to keep around all year long!

Your finished piece will have cut out black letters, no handwriting required!

More Memory Box with Donna

Hello to all!  I've been working my little fingers to the bone getting classes ready for you and here's the last one for January.  I'm on a roll with Memory Box dies as you can tell and I made a few cards with a different twist.  Simple to do, but I'll be passing on another technique to you.  In this class you'll be doing three (yes, 3) cards -- the dies being used are  Perched Reedbird, Woodland Branch and  Elegant Scrollwork.  We'll be using beads and glitter as well (it just wouldn't be ME without glitter now, would it?).

This will be a fun packed class and  will be held on Friday, January 27th from 7 to 9pm and is a $22 class.   Here you go!

Star Book with Kim - 1/22/12 - $25

Kim's finally made her Star book!  With a chain stitch binding, this book looks great closed OR open!  This class was originally scheduled for the Sunday after Thanksgiving (what was I thinking!) and due to the family oriented nature of all of us, we chose to postpone it!  Now, this class will be held on Sunday, January 22nd from 1-3PM at Kim's Studio, KEP Creations 284 Beulah St, Whitman, MA

Coffee & Tea Bag/Boxes with Donna - 1/14/12

Happy New Year to all!  I hope your holidays were spectacular.  This is my first class being offered at the Whitman Community Center on Saturday, January 14th from 1pm to 3pm.  I'm looking forward to getting back in the saddle again and bringing you some fun stuff for 2012.

We'll be creating two really cute gift items that can be used for almost any occasion;  get well, thank you, great hostess, etc.  I look forward to seeing you all!

Memory Box with Donna on 1/20/12...

I've been working hard to get your second class ready at the Whitman Community Center for 2012.

In this class we'll be using Memory Box's Tree Branch and Reedbird.  We'll create an unusual tri-fold card that speaks volumes as below.  The date for this class is Friday, January 20th from 7-9pm and the price is $20.

The next card we'll also be using the Tree Branch and a "surprise" Spellbinder die.  This die is used in a most unusual way, so don't miss out on yet another one of my mysterious "alterations".
