Snowflakes and Mittens with Donna

Boy, am I late getting this up!  But we had a very special event that we were prepping for and it was absolutely wonderful to see all your smiling faces.  It was a really nice meet and greet for Bev.

I just wanted to post my last class (finally) for December.  It's already half full, so you might want to act rather quickly.  Those last minute Christmas cards and gift card holders will be a snap after this class.

This card will introduce you to a new die line.  Now, stop your groaning! You know I'm a die junkie and I'm also the best enabler around.  So if I'm going down in "die" flames, I'll be bringing you with me and you know it!  This is the Damask Die set from Papertrey Ink coupled with a few Spellbinder dies as well.  Oh, and I think I see the results of the E-Z BowZ there too, so don't forget to bring yours!

This other card is a mitten which can be copied over to a template so that you can make this card over and over.  Inside the mitten are slots cut out using (sigh!  here it comes...!) a Memory Box die especially for gift card slots.  How cute is this!

Okay, so click on the PayPayl button below and sign up for this $20 class and it will be our last class for 2011.  Stay tuned for more fun in 2012!

Gift Cards with Donna on 12/3

Well, finally!  I just received the Art Impressions stamps in and had to quickly work up some projects for you.   While these are not the original stamps I was going to present, they caught my eye simply because they lend themselves so well to the upcoming holidays.  We WILL be doing an Art Impressions class (perhaps several) in the new year showcasing their coloring techniques, so stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, this is what we'll be doing on DECEMBER 3rd at WCC (Whitman Community Center) from 1pm to 3pm.  So sign up quickly because I think this class is going to be a blast!

Here's your first card showing it with and without a gift card enclosed:

And here's the second card we'll be doing.  You can start laughing now -- I think this lady is a hoot!

The gift card actually gets enclosed inside the box and when removed, this crazy lady is shown "popping" out of the box as well.

The best part about these stamps is that they are not limited to holiday gift giving.  The first card I doctored up to look like the holiday season, but you'll get to see what it really looks like when you attend the class.  I do hope to have an Art Impressions catalog soon -- perhaps in time for the December 4th event, but we'll see.

So, quick, sign up right away and we'll have some laughs.

Did you know? ....We can order that for you!

You ladies are the best!  We truly appreciate the outpouring support we have received from you.  Without you, we wouldn't be continuing on this journey.  THANK YOU!  You have inspired us!

As you know, we have been very busy creating classes for you.  We also understand that some of you would like to have the same items we used in class.  And we want to offer that for you!

Both Donna and Kim have been busy establishing themselves as businesses.  Donna's business name is EZ Bowz and Kim's business name is KEP Creations.  We both have a resale tax id, pay Uncle Sam and have all the necessary paperwork to be considered a business.  Kim even has a mini store in her studio you can buy from while at classes!

We have been working with several companies that we know you love and we are going to be able to offer these to you.  We do want to let you know that since we are just starting out, most of the sales will be via catalog.  With these catalogs do come some minimums.  Some companies need to have a certain amount ordered before they will ship.  In many cases, we are comfortably able to obtain those orders with you but if we don't, we will let you know that it hasn't been ordered yet and we'll announce something on the blog to try to reach the necessary amount.  Also, if we have extra product left over, we'll post a picture here and you can let us know you want it!  This will be on a first come, first serve basis.  BUT!  Don't despair if you didn't get it, it can most likely be ordered in the next order!

We would like to offer a 15% discount on most product that you order and purchase from us. That's a 15% discount off most everything we sell. (There are a few exceptions, some manufacturers have rules about these things.)  We do ask that you prepay for your orders.  Until we are a little more established, we are going to need the money to order the goods.  Neither Donna nor Kim have any debt in their companies and we would LOVE to keep it that way! - It'll ensure we are around a very long time!!!  We aren't sticklers though and will make exceptions. :-)  We will accept cash, checks and PayPal.  If you are looking to order something, we can Paypal invoice you and you can pay that way.  Currently Kim accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover and Amex, she can accept these payments anywhere!

As of right now, we have accounts with several companies.  As we are able to expand, we'll let you know here and in classes what those companies are.  Right now we can order from:
  • Notions Marketing (this company carries a TON of different companies like Ranger, Sizzix, EK Success, Kaisercraft, House Mouse, Hero Arts, La Blanche, Stampers Anonymous, Magenta, Copic and many, many more!)
  • Dreamweaver
  • Tattered Angels
  • Ten Seconds Studio
  • Art Impressions
  • Memory Box
We are currently working on bringing you Stampscapes and DeNami in the near future.  If there is a company we didn't mention and you'd like to see, let us know.  If we can, we will bring it to you.  Some companies do have restrictions.  But as we grow, we will outgrow many of those restrictions as well!

We will place most of our orders on Tuesday's, so be sure to contact us before Monday night to place any orders you would like!

We cannot express our thanks enough to all of you!  We are truly blessed to have fantastic customers, students and most importantly FRIENDS like you!  We hope you will stick with us and watch us grow, the sky is the limit!

Latest Newsletter

The latest newsletter was email out last night.  Did you receive yours?

I've had someone tell me that the newsletter didn't look right to them yesterday.  If you had an issue with your newsletter (or you didn't recieve yours), please comment on the post so I can look into it.  I'm using a different system than Bev and I'm still ironing out all the kinks.  Any information you can provide will help me make it better.

Thank you!
Kim

Kim's Copic Class

Hello Ladies!

I know, I know.  I haven't posted here in a LONG time.  I'm telling you, it's harder than I thought to get a business up and running as well as create classes for in-person teachings AND online teachings!  As some of you know, I also take care of my infant nephew on Wednesday's and have my own two school aged boys.  It's been quite an adjustment getting it all done.  I am getting on track and finally have not only the samples for tomorrow night's class but the colors you'll be needing for class as well!  Here's the colors:  E00, E01, E02, E08, E09, E11, E13, E55, E57, Y06, Y28, C4, C6, C8, BV0000, BV11, BV31, G05, G09, G28, YR68, R22, R24, R27, R59 - I know there aren't a lot of reds in this bunch but the browns we will be using have a lot of red hues in them.

And here's are my samples:

Class is tomorrow night, Thursday, November 10th from 7-9PM at the Community Center in Whitman, MA.  That is above the Stop and Shop on Rte 18.  There are still a few spots open for class if you would like to join us!

Oh and don't worry if you don't have all the colors, bring what you have and we'll work with them!

Upcoming class...

Hi there!  I've been working my little fingers to the bones (too bad the rest of me didn't get the message) to create some great projects for you.  I've decided to place this class on Wednesday, November 30th  from 7 to 9 pm.

When we were catalog shopping at Bev's for Penny Black, this stamp "spoke" to me.  When I got it, I asked myself why?  Funny how we do things like that.  Well, once I put my mind into "that place", I realized what a truly beautiful stamp it is and how easy you can put cards together with it.  It may just be my favorite for my upcoming Christmas card list!  That's how quickly these do up!

Here's card number one which shows the stamp in it's entirety.

I used a different twist on resist stamping for this card.  So be sure to sign up for the class and learn how much fun it is to do.  And, not to point out the obvious, make sure you bring your E-Z BowZ with you!

Now the question was, how can I change this up a bit?  Here's one idea and we'll also be doing this in class.  Same technique, different colors.

Well, that's what's going on for November 30th.  So click on the PayPal button below and we'll get you signed up.  Don't forget, bring your E-Z BowZ and think about the drawing.  There will be one for every class.  And don't forget your Frequent Flyer card so that I can stamp it.

Countdown...

Just letting you know there are now only TWO seats left for my November 12th Christmas card class.  They're going fast!

Donna

3 SPOTS LEFT!...

HURRY!  There are only 3 spots left for the November 12th class in which we are doing three Christmas cards.  Please see previous posts below and use the PayPal button there to sign up.

The November 18th class for the Holiday House Gift Box is more than half full, so don't wait too long!  Again, scroll down and use that PayPal button.  This class is only $15.00!

On another note, I'd just like to put in a word about your class tool kit.  Remember, we no longer have the luxury of having a store surround us, so it is crucial that you carry all your tools with you.  Here's a list in case you're wondering:

Paper  cutter
Bone folder
Stylus (when a bone folder just won't do it)
Tapes:  tape roller of choice or double-sided tape such as Tear-ific Tape or Scor-Tape
Glues:  a good tacky glue
Glue stick
Ruler
Pencil
Paint brush
Pop dots or dimensional tape
Glue dots
Xacto knife

Obviously, we don't use all these tools in one class, but you need to be prepared no matter what.

Thanks everyone for your support.  Kim and I feel like you are family and we are so pleased to have you follow us.

A house is not a home...

egads!  You're right!  A house is not a home especially when it's a.... box???  Here's what we'll be doing for our Friday, November 18th class at the Whitman Community Center.   You'll be creating this adorable gift box that looks like a house all decked out for Christmas.  You'll be able to put your own spin on it with all the varying stamps you'll be using to create the house of your dreams.

Here are all the views of the house:

Front view.  This is a gift box?

Side view - just so you can see the little details.

And here's your gift box!

Now wouldn't you love to be the recipient of this type of gift box (with something in it, of course)?  The entire class is about this item and the class is only $15.00.  So sign up now!  Click on the PayPal button below or contact me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com to arrange your class payment.

I hope to see you all there!

Here's the rest of the November 12th class

I've ben a busy girl these past two days - amazing what you can accomplish when your internet goes down and you can't do a thing on the computer! See? it was a blessing in disguise.

Enough of that. I've got 3 projects planned for you for my November 12th class and they are all holiday related. I'm sure that anything I do at this point will be holiday related. If anyone has any specific ideas or techniques they'd like to see, please let me know and I'll try to accommodate.

You can add these two little cards to the one on the October 12th post below:

This one features a new Memory Box die.  Mmmmm!

It's Spellbinders, MFT and PTI on this one!

As you can see, we have lots going on with dies and punches.  It will be a busy class, but one that you'll be rather amazed at how fast they go together.

This class is almost half full, so go to the post of October 12th and click on that PayPay button to sign up!

I look forward to seeing you.

Sneek peek teaser...

Well, you've all gotten Kim's newsletter by now about all our doings and we hope you like what we're offering. Some of you have signed up for classes already and we thank you. I've even had sign-ups for my November class sight unseen! You ladies are more than terrific!

So, just to put you out of your misery, I'm posting one project for the November 12th class being held from  1 to 3pm. Depending on my time constraints, I may throw in a third card for this class - no promises, but stay tuned.

This card involves dies from My Favorite Things, Spellbinders and Sizzix and I think you'll like the mix.

So if you haven't signed up already, then just click on the PayPal button below and you'll be ready to go!

I look forward to seeing you all!

Welcome to my first class!

Hi card makers!  Well, it's FINAL -- Kim and I definitely have a wonderful venue in which to continue our stamping/cardmaking/papercrafting classes.  Kim will also be working out of her house for some classes, but mine will all be at the Community Center of Whitman (upstairs at the Stop & Shop on Rte. 18).  For those of you coming from the south, it's an additional 3 minutes up the street.  For those of you coming from the north, it's a minus 3 minute drive.  Isn't this ideal?  I think you'll love the space -- and you can do your grocery shopping afterwards if you like!  What a bonus!

Kim is putting a newsletter together to let you know what type of payment plans we offer.  So stay tuned to that next week.

In the meantime, mark your datebooks for Friday, October 21st  from 7 to 9pm for your very first class with me.  I decided to try a Friday nite for all you working girls in the hopes that it might be an easier night for you.  We'll discuss best available times when we get together for future classes.  I have also marked November 12th (Saturday) from 1 to 3pm for my next class.  We're taking it easy on the number of classes right now until we all get into the swing of it.  We have some fun surprises in store for you with Frequent Flyer cards and raffles.

Okay, on to the fun stuff.  I decided to make a combination class, i.e., Halloween and Fall.  Here's what you'll be making:

(inside of card)

Please contact me at deedee.maligno@gmail.com to sign up for your classes.  Hurry!  We have up to 12 slots and they'll probably go quickly.  At least I hope so!

I so look forward to seeing you all again.

Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble...

Cackle, cackle!  These two witches will have a very interesting announcement very shortly.  So stay tuned to this blog.  Now I must get back to stirring my bat & spider stew.

And the beat goes on!

Hi crafters!  Hmm, only 9 month since our last post - one of us could have had a baby in that time.  And it WASN'T GOING TO BE ME!

Enough nonsense.  You all know that the official closing of the Scrapbook Cupboard is looming large and near.  As before, we have some really dedicated followers who are quite upset that Kim and I will not be teaching at the Cupboard any longer.  This makes Kim and I both sad and glad to know that we have such a devoted following.  We are trying to NOT let you down.  Kim and I have some things in the works (that surprises you??) and will, hopefully, have something concrete to tell you in the next few weeks.  Don't give up on us, please!  We just have to work some details out.

In the meantime, I was overwhelmingly pleased at my class last night when some (actually ALL) of you students (you know who you are) asked if I'd come and teach in your homes if you got some people together.  I would be more than happy to do so if it comes to that.  I did pass around an email sign-up sheet so that we can stay in touch with you all or you can sign up here on the blog as well.

So stay tuned as I think Kim will be adding a post as well.

Thanks for caring.
Donna
